I agree with this, even though it obviously sucks that the room got raided. Blame the lawmakers and stupid laws on the books and make an effort to get them changed rather than blaming the cops for doing their jobs.

you have a point. im not someone who hates the police or thinks theyre "pigs", not at all. I am just pissed off that the club was closed, it was an emotional response.

I'm angry at the city (or whoevers decision this was, I know it was not the decision of street cops) for shutting down poker clubs. there is some leeway here, whoever calls the shots does not have to go after poker clubs this hard.

Apparently you are late to the game. Players don't get arrested for playing poker and it is the position of the Manhattan D.A.'s office that playing is not illegal, running the club is illegal.
