Do the cards really matter at most times in these games? Why play 23o? Cause I can.

Re: LarsLuzak plays J2o vs Ivey - what is the point, eh?
It's heads up, he raised the button as you would if you decided to play the hand. He fired once on the flop and then a double barrell on the turn. This is very common. It doesn't matter that he had j2 heads up. It could have been 27. It's a standard heads up play. A lot of times he might have taken it down on the turn with the second bet.

Lol... I don't play hold'em AT ALL so there goes. Have since last month stopped playing cash entirely, but for the previous two years I played exclusively mid/low-stakes PLO, so forgive me for not being a HU NLHE expert.

Re: LarsLuzak plays J2o vs Ivey - what is the point, eh?
I think he played it fine too if he's gonna play it preflop which is loose but not horrible or anything, then postflop on this board texture he c-bets and then on the turn his plan is to 2barrel with the intention of firing a 3rd barrel on almost any river. Then the river came one of the few cards that's bad to continue a bluff on so he gave up.
