I think part of the reason for the bigger fields in the other NL events is that some of the more prudent online Main Event seat winners are taking their cash and entering a smaller event instead of the ME. I like the under on 6500 too.

Why should Hachem be able to predict the field size any better than any other random pro? Does he have access to preregistration?

Sure, I can see it if you win multiple seats, but usually you have to take the ME seat with your first win. |

cpk - It's entirely different this year.
Harrah's is not accepting the registrations from the online sites. If you win your seat on Stars or FT for example then they just put $11k or whatever into your account and you're supposed to show up and buy the seat yourself but if you choose to just keep the money you can do that instead. For this reason alone, many people thought the Main Event would not have as many entrants because a significant percentage of online satellite winners will just be keeping the cash. |

I like the over on 8,000.
Why the RIO has a poker room big enough to hold in excess of 3,000 people and they just added day 1D. Under 6,500 is rediculous I think it will be greater than last year. |

not missing the point. They added day 1 D for a twofold purpose.
1) To Avoid putting players in the biggest event of the year in a tent. 2) To accomodate extra overflow in case the numbers do exceed last year's. Either way they look like heroes or geniuses |
