I would love to have a gym where I could go and do that kind of stuff. That is the best kind of shape to be in.

I've always thought part of the beauty of this kind of training was not needing to join a gym to do it. Get an old tractor tire from a salvage yard. Buy a sledgehammer from Home Depot. Make a few sandbags of different weights. Much cheaper than gyms or weights, racks, benches, etc. AND more fun.

That is true but what am I going to do, put a bunch of that stuff in my [censored] little apartment?

It gives you a place that already has all the stuff and a place to do it.

I wonder what it would cost to open a place like that. Rent a warehouse. No mirrors. No machines. No juice bar. Tough to market, but overhead is low. I guess you could hire a couple of hot college chicks to work the front desk cheap.

On second thought, forget the amusement park. And the blackjack, too.

Albert Pujols has a ridiculous offseason workout that was detailed in an issue of Muscle & Fitness a few months ago. I was duly impressed.

dinosaur training/strong man etc is easily my favorite types of workouts. A couple of years ago i got into it hardcore, and built an awesome outdoor circuit at my dads house in the backyard, we had a couple of engine blocks, a big ass truck tire, cinderblcoks etc, did all kinds of random strongman training, its great, and makes you feel like one bad mofo when you are done.

colt mcoy,

my old gym, The St louis powerlifting club, was basically a big warehouse, with a bunch of oly platforms, tons of dumbells etc. The guy had about 300 members and made enough money to open up a mulit-million dollar facility. its pretty lame now.

also there is a video out there of adam archuletta's traning which is pretty neat

For more workout ideas and videos, check out Gym Jones. I know a lot of people like to hate on them after the "300" workout came out. Keep in mind that was just a one time test/competition, not a workout.
