I was suspended 5 games. Batter was suspended 6 games. 6 others got a combination of 3 and 2 games which completely doesn't add up. I will break it down.

--First I shouldn't have been ejected let alone suspended. He charged me, I didn't do anything but hit him with a pitch and that can't be proven on purpose and the only time you are ejected for hit batters is if there were warning given and none were. I hit him and he charged, all I did was defend myself, I didn't even leave my position. Yet I get one less game than this pyscho that puts a guy in a hospital and the charges me on the mound, wtf? Then the other 6 that were suspended were guys having boxing matches and bludgeoning each other, how do they get less games than me? None if this made any sense and the league really dropped the ball. Sucked b/c I was fined $500 for the ejection and then not paid my salary for the 5 games suspended.

That is actually a rule that most people don't understand. You can actually run anywhere you want b/c technically there isn't a base path until you are trying to avoid a tag. Since the ball wasn't even there yet, it was still rolling in the infield he wasn't "out of the basebath," but I don't think you can go out of the baseline or out of your way to crush another player--that seems wrong eh?

As for the rule, if you hit a ball down the left field line into the corner you can round first base, run and high five the right fielder if you wanted to before trying for second--not wise, but you wouldn't be "out of the base path."

Also re: the suspension, you're a starter, right? So five games means you miss one start. Yeah it's douchery that you were ejected without a warning, but you admitted yourself that the whole stadium knew it was intentional, so you really can't bitch there. But hey, if it's anything like MLB, you can appeal that until the end of time and/or time it so your suspension is against the last-place team whose lineup consists of seven losers, a 93-year old man and a 6-year old girl.
