I tend to bet these draws on flops because I'd hate it to be checked through.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why do you hate this getting checked through 3handed?

[/ QUOTE ]

Because I'm bad at math?

Mostly because I don't mind taking this down on the flop if other folks are fold monkies. I would be surprised if it there is much difference between b/c here and c/c though.

Yeah I bet but was just pointing out that if it checks through the thinking isn't "damn I missed an equity pump" it's "damn Khigh might be good and I gave a free card."

I think the flop bet should be pretty standard, getting something like A8 to fold would be a coup. Once raised I'd just call. If there were some callers hanging around, then there might be some value in a 3-bet but not HU.

Rest of the hand is standard given your flop 3-bet.

Whether to bet or go for a turn check raise if you had just called is probably a more interesting decision than anything that actually happened.

If I was feeling fancy I would go for the c/r on the river, your flop play looks a like a flush draw.

[/ QUOTE ]
You should never be check/raising the river, because you should have already check/raised the turn with the nuts (and a redraw to the even-bigger-nuts).

As played, of course, you have to bet the turn and river.

preflop.. depends on the table.. loose i call, tight i fold
bet flop is good, but 3 bet will lead you to a difficult turn play.
the rest is standard

try to avoid tables where folding here is the correct play

[/ QUOTE ]

If I followed that advice, I 'd only be able to play 2 tables at once at the max, and only late at night or on weekends.

At the tables I usually run into at $1/2 at Stars, folding here is usually the correct play. Unfortunately, he didn't give any reads on the rest of his table, just the CO. Judging by the actions of the rest of the table though, folds and a raise, he should have folded preflop. The table, if they act like this every hand, is too tight and aggressive to call here preflop profitably.
