Whatever the intentions of OP - and however cynical he may be - there is some truth to his post.

But poker is in fact a mathematical exercise firstly, and then when you find yourself against players that are similarly grounded, you then need to go into what OP is trying to describe.

Different games require different priorities(although making money is the central theme in poker). Holdem probably is all the OP knows, but other games need their own approach and then the 'nuances' can then be explored.

Some games require u to out-gamble your opponents, some require u to out-wait them etc. The greatest thing a player can do is to have a good overview of poker in general.

Unfortunately for most, they are taught the game as a rigid exercise in starting hands, but are missing the thought processes necessary to progress from that 'Kindergarten' stage.

There were plenty of posts to critic the content or the lack of in your posts from people who could do this much better then me.
