One of the major reasons I don't open jam when I can is that for an hour they've seen me raise 2.5BB and then I suddenly jam. Either that screams weakness or strength to them, but I'd rather them think they have fold equity against my TT+ than think I'm weak because I jammed and call me with Ace high...unless of course I have AA, KK, etc. in which case I don't want them to think I'm too strong.


Pretty much I want them to fall into the line of thinking of "Oh I've seen this show before" and play standard to their hand regardless of how nonstandard my move is.

I want them thinking "if he has a real hand and I call I'm busto." I'm not saying always open push when you have 14.5 BBs, but when the largest stack behind you is 9 BBs you want to just shove and apply the maximum amount of pressure.
