Can someone please explain UTG's turn donk? He wants to 3-bet or charge a not-so-obvious draw or what?

[/ QUOTE ]

It looks like you're against two monsters (or one monster and UTG being retarded with his LRR). Best case scenario, UTG has AK and SB has KQ, so you're live for a winning full house. But I just end up paying off too cause OMG we have a set.

Max, its not about what percentage of pots u win...its about winning the pots that matter. I could check PT for what %age I win but I wont bother....the thing is, Im playing less pots than the average yogi bear so I expect to win less than 10% but the pots I win will probably be bigger.

whether you play 1 or 4 tables shouldnt make a lick of difference...unless of course, your play degenerates when you multitable....theoretically when you multitable your BB/100 drops but you win more per hour. how does this affect your win %age at the tables....tbd

So presumably UTG had the JJ and SB the 55.

Dont worry, as others have already said, it was difficult for you to get away from your hand and set over set does not happen very often.

I can't fold the turn to 2 bets, but I might be able to lay down for the first 2 on the river (live).

I woulda been afraid of KQ at some point if I had even AA.

EDIT: I wouldn't fold AA though.

i think you played this hand as best you could. Although u could be against higher set, never assume so. It happens too rarely. Looks like someone has broadway. Slow down on turn. call down, hopefuly cheaply. Pot is way too big to fold, even if ur sure ur beat.

I play it the same way you did. If I lose on a hand like this, I just figure I was meant to lose a lot on this hand. I'm not good enough yet to know for sure when my set is beat in a large pot and I would go on tilt if I laid this down and saw one of the fish flip over AJ for a winning hand.
