Ok OOT... I have a standard dinner + movie date tonight with a very good looking lady. The good news is that she basically asked me out, and gave me her number before I asked. Bad news is that she is slightly taller than me.

Pick the movie;
a) Ocean's 13
b) Knocked Up
c) Other?

She has expressed interest in seeing both at one time or another, but option B seems like it could be a very good or very bad idea for a date given the nature of the movie.

It seems like I can't go wrong with Ocean's 13, but the scheduling might work out a little better with Knocked Up because I have a prior engagement and making it to Ocean's 13 might be sort of close. Which movie OOT?

Ocean's 13 is good. Redeemd the franchise after the disaster that was 12. Almost as good as 11 (wifey liked it better than 11 in fact).

I disagree about the whole movie being bad thing...it's ten times worse to have nothing to talk about and be stuck at a restaurant for 3 or 4 courses. At least with viewing a movie first you two immediately have something in common and can branch out from there.

i also think oceans 13 might be a slightly more intelligent movie (i don't know, i haven't seen knocked up), which would give you more to talk about. i remember after lucky number slevin and the departed we talked about them forever, but after whatever that ice skating movie was this summer, with will ferrell, we forgot about it right after we saw it.

Knocked Up is better than O13 and I haven't seen 013. Go watch it, it's awesome, it's sweet, she will want to make out after if the crowning scene doens't gross her out.

I really think Movies suck for 1st dates, mostly cuz ur not gonna be making a whole lot of moves, so ur both just gonna be sitting there in a theatre, laughing together but nothing more. You need to know the person better than a 1st date to make movies good imo.
