Re: $1k Championship event (online) facing over raise from laggy BB
I like 1200 preflop. I'd bet the flop like you did, and now when he reraises it's fold or push. Based on your description, I think we can eliminate 99+,33 from his range. He would have raised 99+ preflop (possibly 33 too), and I doubt he makes such a huge raise with a set.
Let's say his range is A9-AT,KT-KJ,QT-QJ, JT,T9,T3,93,87,56(just threw that in there cuz he has to be just pure bluffing at least some of the time i would think). I'd say out of that he would call our push with AT,KT,QJ,T9,T3,93, which would mean he's calling 49.6552% of the time. We have 37.992% equity vs this range. Okay so pot is 5850. We shove for 14,400 over his 3200 bet. .503448 * 5850 + .496552 * .37992 * 17050 - (.496552 * .62008 * 14400)= +1727.87... So i dunno it looks like if the ranges i made up are somewhat reasonable that this could be a good push |

[ QUOTE ]
it's fold or push. [/ QUOTE ] I felt right after the hand I should've pushed the flop. I tend to try and put people on much narrower ranges than perhaps I should, but anyway I had him on a 1 pair hand, 8x probably, maybe 3x, so obv he can't call a push. But cos of lack of experience, or something, I just flat called - planning to push most turns which I felt he would check a loooot of the time. Turn was Q, so obv I made the nuts. He bet out big committing himself to the pot and I pushed all in he turned over Q3o and didn't improve. |
