Re: Blocking Bets in PLO
everytime i seem to try a blocking type bet i get raised, they smell it as weak. against a lot of people i have notes on, it's a play i make when i have a great hand, as i want them to think i'm weak and they'll gleefully re-pot it and give me $, but as a defensive technique it hasn't worked for me at all so i don't do it (but i don't play higher than $1 most of the time so not sure of the applicability on higher limits...)

Re: Blocking Bets in PLO
Don't make blocking bets, they suck. You're telling your opponent more about your hand than if you check.
If you make a small bet they know how interested in the hand you are. If you check, they may consider checking behind fearing a check raise. Just don't make blocking bets full stop. It means you're building the pot and any raise made elsewhere on the table can be for more dollars, which destroys your pot odds even more. |

Re: Blocking Bets in PLO
Just try it at your table and see how they work. PLO is such a player dependent game moreso than NL by far. Some games donks have an idea of hand values in omaha others any two pair is reraise all in. Don't use blocker bets against people that are willing to gamble without the nutz. If table is scared wait for the nutz type of table, I think blocker bets can be very useful
