Notice that raising the flop to take a free showdown saves you 1 SB.

Yeah it is Qx or air. No need to raise at any point.

I didn't say "always", I said "almost always." I think against the typical live player this is the case. The pot is too big to fold at this point. I want the cheapest showdown possible and against the vast majority of B&M players, I think the way to do that is to raise the flop, bet the turn, and take a free showdown.

When I first started I had this mentality, I'd recommend getting out of it as soon as possible.

Brad, I disagree... this is a 4 or 55-TT quite a bit too.

I think a Q is gonna c/r the turn w/ trip Qs far more than not.

btw, when we gonna hit up B101 again? Seems like there are more Bay Area people around here now.

i am 99% sure it is a Q.. i have been playing at the 3/6 game at bay 101 a lot. And woman do not play fancy, she is scared of the pair board too! I think because it is a woman, it makes a big difference.

wtf its a woman!

not meaning to be too sexist, but of course she has a Q, probably 2 of them

i dont raise anywhere

[/ QUOTE ]

You must not play live much????? Oh wait.. eskimo are you still < 18? (Serious question, because I vaguely remember you being young)

Raising river or turn is fine if you can fold to a 3bet. I actually prefer raising the river so I can catch my A on river just in case..

The women playing the Bay 6/12 are usually aggro enough especially compared to the old white nits (OWN.. ) that get into the game from time to time. Most every person in that place will wait until the turn to raise a Q.

Adam, which lady was this?

BTW, they just hired a new chip runner that is amazingly HAWT!!!!

This is kinda close to what I was thinking. It is WA/WB, but I think I'm WA more often than I'm behind, and so I need to find a place to put in a raise. I think she can fold under pairs if I raise turn figuring Qx+, but on the river my line looks funky and weird enough that she'd probably call just to see what I have.

I'll check out the chip runner next time =D.

Lady looked roughly in her 30s, dark hair, looks like she might be asian of some mix but speaks fluent english.

---

Anyways, river came a K, she checked, I bet, she called and I scoop the pot.

---

Peters -- I think 3banging flop is awful because she's not calling a turn bet ever with anything I beat and basically I'm just risking myself to be capped flop/raised turn and forced to call down.
