very sad.. wish I could help.. I have a 12 year old dog myself. No clue how anyone could have him for 8 years and just get rid of him.

gl OP. I have no idea how someone could give up their dog after 8 years. Maybe they had extenuating circumstances but even if I did have to give my dog up, I would make damn sure I found a good home for him first. meh, at least they didn't drop him off at a kill shelter.

[/ QUOTE ]Volunteer at an animal shelter for a week. You'll quickly realize the vast majority of people have no soul. My grandma works at one and I avoid that place like it's radioactive.
