Surely tournament dollars are worth less than real dollars, so I don't see this as being insurance unless Ivey got a big discount.

FWIW, Ivey refers to himself as a professional gambler, not a professional poker player.

Hellmuth was making pretty bad insurance bets at the taping of the new HSP. As great as he is at NLHE tournaments, he's that bad as a gambler.
