BTW, my feelings are this is a call because i just don't see him jamming JJ here unless he REALLY thinks he's getting a call with under pairs from the other player.

I think his range is mostly like 77-TT AJ+

I dunno I think his push is fine. AJs is exactly the type of hand you'd want to do this with IMO.

Note that I think this is also a very reasonable way to play TT-77. I think calling with 77 is becoming extremely dangerous.
