Personally, I don't agree with ipod idea. You shouldn't be bored at the table, observing others should be enough to keep you occupied.

You have to be able to get away from top pair hands though if there gets to be a lot heat.

OTOH don't be surprised if someone with second pair bets into you hard and thinks they're good, especially if it's a face card, like Jacks.

I can multitask just fine. Me listening to an ipod doesn't distract me from following and remembering the action at hand. However, definitely don't bring an ipod if you suck at multitasking.

My life revolves around music, so the right music keeps me calm and at peace.

When you're seeing what, 20 hands per hour, and you're only playing 20% of your hands, after a long session of folding, anyone will be bored, especially if you're card dead.

True on this, you have to know your opponent of course. I meant if you are seeing flops with connector type hands multi-way...

Yes, I definitely suck at multitasking, so that might explain it. However, I just don't believe that even people who are able to multitask can be at their peak when they're doing more than one thing. To each his own, I guess.

Barona, it's usually where I end up. I go mainly because they got decent promotions during the weekdays.

If you ever want to head up together or meet up there, let me know. Hell, I'm probably going tomorrow since today went so well. 12-4 if you get aces cracked you get $100.
