Re: Really simple spot vs. Cam Hua that\'s really not
lol i thought the question was call or raise after i read the description. either way both folding and raising seem bad against this guy. i also probably bet flop or turn unless he is actually fighting to win pots post flop after he limp/calls pf.

Re: Really simple spot vs. Cam Hua that\'s really not
Call the river of course.
I don't like the preflop overbet, as it gives too much information about your hand. |

Re: Really simple spot vs. Cam Hua that\'s really not
I've played with CHK twice and thought he was super tight nitty.
Agree with everyone that you must call. Folding or raising seems spewy. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Snapcall. [/ QUOTE ] What does Cam Hua have? [/ QUOTE ] I believe the appropriate answer to what does he have is who knows and who cares? You just rivered top pair, top kicker, and he bet 1/2 the pot, which is 12% of your stack. You have to call. He could be bluffing, have the nuts, have two pair, have a medium pair, it doesn't matter at this price. If I had to guess, I'd say you're probably beat, your play of the hand is screaming AK (although not definitively) and he just bet into you when you hit one of your cards. [/ QUOTE ] The part in bold has been the major point of contention over at our house. If CK knows what we have, or what we most likely have, why is he (almost certainly) value betting? |

Re: Really simple spot vs. Cam Hua that\'s really not
Why is it a value bet?
Why isn't it an "Oh no a king on the river he may have got there but oh noes i dont want to check call a big bet let me lead out for half pot look at me im tricky hehe." |

Re: Really simple spot vs. Cam Hua that\'s really not
If villain knows exactly what two cards you have, you may have given away too much information with your betting pattern on all streets. Specifically, the raise to 8xBB puts you on a narrow range. I am not sure if playing your hand face up is the best way to pwn a limper.

[ QUOTE ] Snapcall. [/ QUOTE ] What does Cam Hua have? [/ QUOTE ] I guess one should ask this question as an reason/excuse for folding, not calling. Anyway, if he has us, is it AJ and only AJ? Can we discount KT for a good player? And wouldnt he usually lead KQ at least on the turn? I would call here vs like almost everybody without any further thoughts. maybe he`s trying to take you off AQ/AT...dunno. |

seems like a call vs anyone. Your hand isnt necessarily what it is, you certainly can have other hands here. He can be betting with a queen, he can be making a random/ slightly retarded bluff, he can also just be some dumb live player. [/ QUOTE ] these were my thoughts as well. i dont know why we have to have AK here. |
