from the link "

Hillary Clinton is coming down on media and celebrity culture for promoting many of the wrong values in our society. She points to some alarming statistics, like 70% of teens from 15 to 17 having accidentally come across pornography on the web. She also objects to many popular violent video games, such as "Grand Theft Auto"."

NOT COOL HILLARY. I HATED YOU BEFORE, BUT NOW IF I EVER SEE YOU I'M GONNA PRESS R2 AND WASTE YOU WITH MY FLAMETHROWER, YA HEARD?

As much as I am peeved at Frist and the GOP that was / is in the Senate, I would hope for this.
It would make an easy walk for any top GOP nominee to win on 08; E.G. Fred Thompson who is a much more moderate than the current Bush.

For those of you praying for the Gore/Obama ticket:

"On Wednesday, the New York Post reported Bill Clinton saying that Al Gore will announce his candidacy at the right moment. He also says that Gore is likely to choose Barack Obama as his running mate."

You bet, main stream America would never support those two nuts.

BTW, it seems the PPA, at least D'Amato is supporting a Thompson / Rudy Ticket.

Richardson would be a much better VP candidate for Gore (or anyone) than Obama would. He'd deliver New Mexico and firm up the Hispanic vote. Illinois & blacks are going Dem no matter who the VP candidate is.

You also don't want too much ego on the ticket, or any whispers that the wrong guy's on top. And frankly, a lot of Middle America is still uncomfortable with a liberal woman or black person near the Presidency, no matter what they tell pollsters, although our current POTUS has obviously lowered the expectations/competence bar, performance-wise.

Not to mention that Obama is not even remotely qualified to be president. His resume makes Thompson look like Reagan or Eisenhower. I lean Republican but I cannot fathom the fascination with Thompson. I guess because he's not McCain, Rudy, or Romney. No way Rudy's ego would ever allow him to be Veep. The Republican Veep will likely be some barely known senator or governor.

I actually think the toughest ticket for the Dems to beat would be Rudy-Newt. And I think Gore-Richardson is easily the Dems best shot. But, people vote for the president. With the rather large exception of LBJ in '60, the VP hardly ever affects the election.

I find this statement pretty laughable. I guess being a lobbyist for 25 years really prepares you for being president.

How could anyone vote for Gore? If he ran he'd be proving himself a liar and that's reason enough to vote against him by itself.

[/ QUOTE ]

Did Gore ever say that he's not going to run?

What are you referring to? I don't think Gore has ever definitively said he wasn't going to run for president.

[/ QUOTE ]

He hasn't. He's just said that he doesn't have plans or expectations to run. Which people say all the time. But we're talking about Al Gore here, so obv when he says it it means he's a liar.
