Re: Tough spot with KK
Reraise preflop and reraise the flop. You gave that up way to easily. Unless he had aces. In that case I'm sorry and nh. But if I am the one playing I would get all my chips in with those cards.

Re: Tough spot with KK
This flop is a def. raise. I'm assuming he 3-bets a little lighter in blind defense situations, esp. with those aggressive PF. stats. Any ace or heart destroys out hand. No need to get too tricky.

Re: Tough spot with KK
I don't see why you think he's tighter than his stats would indicate, if it's not over a lot of hands just say so but I really doubt you can guesstimate someone's stats especially if you are multitabling.
At any rate smoothcalling pre is fine lots of players can fold (or say they fold) hands like JJ here which obviously you don't want. I'm not folding postflop though with this flop, just shove the flop it's around a PSB anyway so you minds as well try to get it in. |

[/ QUOTE ] Since hero holds the king of hearts, there are only two or three hand obvious combinations that have the heart draw. If OP had a reason to think that villain might be three-betting a wider range then raising the flop for protection is fine. If villain is on a tighter range, though, we need to tread more cautiously or we have the potential to get all of our money in way behind. I wouldn't just look at villain's stats and assume that he's three-betting without a premium hand. |

Re: Tough spot with KK
I just played 18K hands of $25NL at 14/10 and my 3betting range against the button raise was AA-TT AK-AQ and sometimes AJ-AT&99. I would give him credit for a wider 3betting range than AA-QQ.

Re: Tough spot with KK
When someone is playing 23/20, I give them a lot of credit for understanding the basics (i.e., button never has anything).
AQ is definitely in his 3 bet range, and after picking up a K high flush draw, folding on the turn is criminal. There's a fairly decent chance you have the best hand here, and you have 11 outs against aces (half the time) and queens (all the time). |
