no problem with beagles, but they aren't specifically considered a "dog for guys". few dogs are recognized as manly dogs, like pitbulls (which I don't really care for).

also, beagle easily cuter

i have a bouvier, its a flemmish sheep dog that could easily take any of you, does that count as manly?

also, his grandfather won a bunch of awards and was named Iron Eyes, which i happen to think is the most awesome [censored] name for a dog ever

Beagles were domesticated for the purpose of finding and killing stuff like Raccoons, Rabbits, and Food animals.

Beagles qualify as a manly dog.

poodles are also hunting dogs mostly used to retrieve birds.
