Am I the only one who thinks PF is way overplayed?

[/ QUOTE ]Are you saying that 3 betting with AK is "way overplaying" it?

you should call. tons of dead money in the pot. You're calling 160 to win 280. At worst, you're getting killed by AA. And anything else, you have good odds to call, even against KK.

Most likely you're up against JJ, QQ, or even another AK. I make this call live all the time. Tons of bad players will show up with worse.

This is +EV.

On the other hand, I used to need a read to call AK in this spot. Now I need a read to fold in this spot. As Doyle says, it's rare to see a man play second hand low with aces here (although I saw this exact play on Friday). That's the only hand you're really affraid of. Even against KK, with all the dead money in the pot, you're only giving up a little equity.

In other news $40 is a bit small as a reraise with the cold caller in there. I'd prefer closer to $50 (pot size). Winning $27 on your first hand with no pair shouldn't bother you. TPTK can be one of the harder hands to play completely readless, IMO.
