They even spent time building up the end with soft happy music and showing Meadow park WTF? They built the end all up for nothing. Phil was only the boss for like 3 episodes. Yes, pseudo intellectuals that understand the deep meaning of the episode more than we do, enlighten us plz. Why was it so great or are you being different for no other reason that to feel superior in your ability to interpret a deeper meaning?

[/ QUOTE ] I was thinking that Tony's dad died at dinner with his family in front of Tony so this might be an artsy foreshadowing. The Italian looking guy that went to the bathroom was there to witness the murder and the black guys are the killers(racism ban obv). Since he is the main character when the bullet hits his brain he sees black and hears nothing.

My heart was racing in the last 5 minutes. I thought it was fine to leave it in the air, and in general I thought it was a very good episode. I can obviously see why people would be disappointed.

[/ QUOTE ] The tension was built by the audience's anticipation of something BIG happening in the next few seconds. If you really think about the last scene nothing was SUPPOSED to happen. Just a normal night out w/ his family in a Jersey diner/restaurant (all the while the audience thinks this, or thinks that). Just a great scene. Trust, I was on the edge of my seat as well, but then it hit me when the credits rolled. I'm pretty sure several endings were shot for the DVD heads out there. So don't rule out that gang-rape thing [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
