Yes a raise would have been best. You are either taking the pot with it or have a very good idea of where you stand. A call to your raise on that board would be a sign of great strength considering your tight image (assuming they are thinking players).

Also, if someone is ahead of you with the flush you have outs to a better hand in any case.
