Re: full tilt 90 person $5, AKo tough spot
what do people think of my preflop reraise? does anyone think i should have made it smaller to make a different flop bet than all in? or does anyone think i should make it larger to make my flop all in bet the size of the pot (assuming i get one caller preflop)?

Re: full tilt 90 person $5, AKo tough spot
if you are going to reraise pf you want to leave yourself with ~1 psb left to fire on any flop.
your raise size was good. |

Put him all-in. Even though the flop sucks (i.e. a good player is less likely to believe you hit), you can get some small pairs to fold. In a $5, I can't give the villain any credit for a big pair.
If the villain has AA or KK, make a note for future reference. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] ??? shoving 3x the Pot is considerd standard? [/ QUOTE ] By shoving the flop, you are turning it into a 3 card hand. 7Q7 flop is a good flop because villain will have a hard time calling this flop if he doesn't have a Q or KK+. He won't have the opportunity to see the other 2 cards. I never make this play because it seems very spewy, but I guess the big shots do this play all the time. [/ QUOTE ] It doesn't really matter if you shove or bet pot or close to pot or whatever. You have to lead this flop and since Villain only has slightly more than the pot left, bet whatever amount commits you to the rest of his stack. |

ty for responses.
as said by many to shove, i did. villain folded after much thought. just line-checking since i havent played poker in a bit and am never a huge fan of overbetting a pot, except in certain circumstances. |
