you'll often be ahead, but he's not calling a push with trips, and if he has a boat, it's going to be 5x, which beats you... he's also folding a str8 to a push, which he doesn't have, but which he see you could have turned, which also argues for not pushing

eh, bad players don't like folding either trips or straights. I think you need to push here. He calls with a worse hand more than he holds a better hand imo
