Re: Missing value . . .
[ QUOTE ]
I would probably raise the flop. Otherwise it looks good. [/ QUOTE ] This board is so not scary for us here. Raising this flop will only make weak Aces fold and let villian(s) play perfectly against us as our hand is no longer disguised. |

I would raise that flop with AK, AQ, A8, 88, 77, 87, 56, or 9T. [/ QUOTE ] Uh....most of these hands have an A or make a set lol, and the ones that don't make two-pair (except for the two draws, of course). My point is that raising gives villain a chance to get away too cheaply. No, they won't always fold, but they will often enough. |

[/ QUOTE ] But you have to raise at some point. Look, I don't mind a smooth call on this flop. Not much chance the turn is going to beat us. Let villain get confident. Value bet/raise him on the turn/river. That line works. I just think that raising the flop is a line that gives you the chance to stack villain, while offering him the chance to escape with his AK. Everything is read dependent, but I like popping the flop here because, more often than not at these levels, AK is coming along with his stack. |

I'm definitely never mistaken for a 'tight' player(I am a bully most of the time) so I guess I'm used to no one taking my raises seriously when they have TPTK. The thing that is great about hands like this is that there is often more than one line will get you paid. |
