Default Re: Using Pokertracker for the hand reviews

My last reviewer sent me a review like this, I had to alternate between the access game notes and my HH that I sent him. Make sure you give your reviewee an idea of how to watch the review.

I'm still gonna stick with excel though. It looks soo pretty.

i tried the pt way, but found it too cumbersome to respond. someday the guy at newildehusrt promises me that he'll add an option to leave opponents names intact when converting multiple hands. If that ever occurs, I predict that his website will become the defacto standard.

When you create a new database, Pokertracker will automatically create the new ptrack*.mdb file for you, but it DOES NOT create a new hhdb.mdb file! We will need to do this manually, but it's pretty simple.

Whenever I've done a review, I've always just imported the hands into PT but I never created an hhdb or any other kind of file manually. (I did not however, enter my comments into PT, I made them separate in Excel. I just show the starting 2 cards and my comments in Excel, not the whole hand. I send a one page spreadsheet to the reviewee with 10-20 lines in it, one for each hand I comment on.)

Someone who did a review for me sent me an hhdb.mdb file and maybe one other PT database file also quite some time ago. I still haven't figured out what to do with it (them). I am not comfortable importing an hhdb.mdb file into my Poker Tracker when I don't even know what an hhdb.mdb file is. I am certainly not interested in renaming my database files and risking loss of important data to try to accomodate something like a review.

I tried to follow the instructions from this post but I'm not sure if it applies to my situation or not.

I had a coach review some hands and they were returned to me as an access PT database. I've been able to get the hands into PT and read his notes, but I can't replay the hands. I'm wanting to print out the hand histories with the notes but I'm not sure how to do this. Can anyone help?
