i dont think so...
it had really crappy graphics, and the tanks couldnt move, or could barely move. i cant remember which. You had to measure the angle and power of your shots and try to hit the other guys. It was kinda like the game Worms a little bit. |

Microsoft once released a version of that as a QBASIC demo, called Gorillas. The projectiles were exploding bananas. |

[/ QUOTE ] Scorched Earth sounds like the game you're thinking off, with the option to buy weapons and shields etc between rounds. There were actually simpler versions that predated that - no special weapons, just wind speed and hills to shoot over; one hit and you win. To get back on topic, I bet the computer was getting upgraded during the downtime years. |
