Yeah, they really are, and worse. Problem is, they're swingy, and it's very tilt-inducing to iso-raise a limper pf, c-bet a flop, check behind a turn and call one on the river with UI AK only to lose to the limper's 74o that rivered a 4.

against almost every live player i've ever played against bet, check behind, call river bet is awful

I'm not sure what you mean by standard live player, but that range would be too loose from what I understand. If he's a standard live player you could probably just fold knowing you're dominated, but anyway, I'll go with your numbers. The turn is spew.
