What's your favorite Starcraft race?

Since when. What maps. I'm pretty sure on Temple that would be simple to stop with a front base block + tanks.

Look for the "professional" toss replays. Even when Toss gets ling rushed it is still unstoppable. The only counter to it is M&M w/range. To block/tank would take to long, though you could block. It was even more unstoppable before all the patches that slowed probe/goon creation. I've seen it destroy every opponenet when it was done correctly.

But, really, WW2 maps and Diplomacy was where it was at. Melee was meh IMO.

20 goon rush?? i don't see how rines + medics couldn't take that out with ease...let alone tanks...

You have no idea what you are talking about [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] A wall, wich every terran build versus protoss, stops it until he got tank, wich is not long after you got your first goon. And lings > pure goons. Btw with "20 goon rush" you mean 20 as in you have 20 in supply and not 20 goons right?

Your jogging my memory about 4 years so let me try and write this out.

Start- Mine+probes+pylon+gas+gateway+pylons+gateway+core( 1 probe to scout) approx 1:45-2:15

2xZlot+Goon+Zlot+2xGoon+Gateway+5xGoons approx 3:30-4:15- First attack

Pumping Goons w/ occasional Zlot(for lings). Micromanagement w/ Goons. 20 goons max should win. Obviously you are putting up pylons/Forge during this. UPG attack possibly a single cannon in case of Lurker rush.

Not sure accuracy due to me forgetting everything but that was the basics of it. PGL players used it all the time and knew the counters obviously. And obviously anything has a counter, unstoppable means works 3/5-4/5 times. If you don't think so, thats fine becuase there were an infinite amt of strats in BW and everyone had their own.

If you make zealots that early versus terran you've already lost. That strategy wont win any games versus a decent Terran.

It might work versus a zerg that doesn't see it and makes too few sunkens. But assuming they've fastexpanded they'll just make enough sunkens + lings so that you can't break their defence while teching to mutas or lurks. Since you've waste so much on goons + zeals they can just contain you with lurkers or harass your base with mutas forcing you to stay in your base defending it while the zerg expands more. You won't have obs or hightemplars/archons wich will set you back alot.

After that it's a different story.

First, nothing is unstoppable, but you corrected that in an above post.

Second:
Terran - Marines/Medics + Spider Mines
Zerg - Zerglings
Protoss - Zealots/DT + Psi Storm

By the time you muster up 20 Dragoons, any smart opponent can be ready for it.

Anyway, more on subject, for quite a while my favorite race was protoss, because of DT and the fact that warping buildings in lets you continue mining while the building is being built. Now I have to go with zerg, because they have the numbers and the speed. Also, burrowing rocks.
