I raise this flop. This player is likely the type to get a ton of money in with a dominated ace.

I raised to 420 and he quickly moved all-in, making it 3k more to me.

What do you think his range is and what would YOUR range be?

I like calling the flop. I think raising lets him get away too easily from his TT-KK hands.

[/ QUOTE ]

because we're somehow getting value from it on this dry ass board on later streets?!

I think it's probable we can get at least one more bet out of them? I dunno.

I prboably call against this guy but I'm a huge station against these types of monkeys. I think AK-AJ are in there some of the time as well as some 2 pair combos, maybe some sets though I'd kinda expect him to play those more tricky-like.

wow, rly.

I mean, I would never 3 bet AI here so my range is zero hands, but boy, I really don't wanna call this even though I'm going to feel dumb no matter what I do.

Okay, that one was pretty easy and I won't make more people all say call.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG (t3600)
gobbo (t3505)
MP1 (t2955)
MP2 (t3240)
MP3 (t5780)
CO (t2220)
Button (t2655)
SB (t840)
BB (t2845)

Preflop: gobbo is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG raises to t90, gobbo calls t90, 7 folds.

Flop: (t225) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets t120

It has become interesting. What's your action and your plan for the hand?

I'd usually call preflop. I'd definitely raise the flop and of course call any reraise. He could easily have AQ, AJ and I think if you raise immediately an active player loses all his chips close to 100% of the time. There is also the possibility that he can't give up KK immediately because they are so pretty.

One reason to just call is if you think he's an absolute lock to lose all his chips with AQo or AJo regardless of what falls, meanwhile hoping to get maybe one river bet against KK, QQ or whatever. However I don't want to give the free card or two especially since a 2 outer probably results in you losing your entire stack, and also I think it's not 100% that he simply folds these hands to a flop raise.

his range is mostly 1 pair basically saying you need a set to call which is soo little of your range. I can't see folding here since I take out A9 and A4 out of their ranges and shoving with a set on this board is sooo bad.
