Ok but that doesnt change the fact that every 1 point is changed for one cent correct?

Only that you can gain MORE points NOW as you play? Am i right?

[/ QUOTE ]
Unfortunately for you, that is correct. You don't actually have 680,000 points in your account right now, do you? The way poker rooms change their terms/stores/etc, I sure wouldn't want to have almost $7,000 in points sitting around...

Do you think i made the right move or will their point system improve?

DOes anyone else find the points for cash system absolutely ridiculous?

I have played on Party for ever, and never spent my points, must have paid thousands in rake, and only accumulated 680,000 in points worth 6,800

LOL @ you posting this on the day they change it.

What is this and how does it change what i posted? Explain it to me like i am a four year old please my brain aint functioning

The chart is based off the new VIP levels.
Under the new system you gain more points depending on what level you are. I am assuming (since i've played with you at 3/6NL+, that you are already deuces or will be within a day or so.)
At deuces level u make 7.5x as many party points.
I then used my huge datamined DB to get the average MGR you get while playing the above stakes of 6max NL.
I then figured out the average points u make per hand at each level and divided them by the average MGR of playing those same hands.
So this chart shows 2 things:
A. The bigblind/100 you gain from the VIP system.
B. The equivalent % of your MGR you are getting back from the points.

The new system changes nothing as far as your previously acquired points and cashing them all in hurt you in no way.

Just so everyone knows this is how I did the calculations for the chart:

I used my massive datamined DB to get the data total hands, # of raked hands, Total Rake taken, and what the average number of players were hand was. (This is all 6max No Limit)

I then calculated the average MGR of each hand like so:

((Total Rake)/(Total Hands))/(Average # of players per hand) = Average MGR Per Hand

I think calculated the average number of Party Points given Per Hand like so:

((Points Per 20 Raked Hands)/20) = Points Per Raked Hand.

(Points Per Raked Hand)*(Total Raked Hands/Total Hands) = Points Per Hand

I then took the Points Per Hand and calculated the expected cash value of those points at each level like so:

(Points Per Hand) * $0.01 * Multiplier = Cash Value Per Hand

I then calculated the big blind/100 equivalent like so:

bb/100 = (Expected Cash Value Per Hand/Big Blind)

I then calculated the rakeback equivalent like so:

RB% = (Expected Cash Value Per Hand/MGR Per Hand)

Also, it appears I had a major error in one of my formulas that was messing up the data, this has now been fixed and the chart has been updated.

Oh that isn't looking so appealing now :-( Excitement over, thought PP were being overly generous.

The good news is that the old numbers are close to the reality of full ring.

Thanks ship it, job well done

When i log into party poker it says i am an ace... no mention of a deuce.... and why did you carry out these complex calculations for rakeback? To make what decisions in the future?

Edit: i just understood that deuce is the level above aces. I havent played party in a while but over the past three years i highly doubt if there are many players who have paid more rake than me

So how the hell am i not a deuce
