Can I take this money to buy myself the food to live on until payday on Friday?

[/ QUOTE ]

I say you can BORROW it until Friday, then you have to pay her back.

And if you're broke, what's with the online playing?

Jeez dude! You do get yourself in some situations don't you!

My recco is, if u have enough to scare up a bus ticket, give ALKA a ring and he'll more than likely loan you a pony for food.

I've borrowed money from 'Alka' too many times already; I really don't want to ever ask him again. I don't like to borrow from friends, and I count him as a friend. You know, it sucks to call someone up and have a good honeset sincere empathetic conversation, while all the time both of you know you've really called about borrowing money. It is bad for the self-esteem to borrow money and compromise friendships over it; even if you always pay back. So I would much rather take this abandoned small change, this £6.50, than ask a friend for a loan.

I have two. One has about $6k of gambling debt on it - a year and a half ago I used it to play on £10/£20, was about $6k in the credit and ended up $6k in the hole. Fortunately with the help of the Citizen's Advice Bureau I got them to freeze it and not require any payments for 18 months.

The other card I have about $700 on, and I can spend $120 on it when a payment goes through on Thursday. Generally though, credit cards are a bad idea for people like me!

Never steal anything small. You are risking your career for chump change. Beg on the street until you get enough money for a egenerate: tattoo. Then buy a copy of George Orwell's Down and Out in Paris and London. Then Doschevsky's the Gambler.

Some people are not cut out for poker and you are one of them. You are a great poster and you can still post.

Thanks - I can see I come across as a natural born loser when it comes to gambling in a classic Freudian sense, with losing fulfilling some kind of subconscious urge I have to hurt and cause trouble for myself, to feel humiliated and brought low. It really feels as if I try to make myself like a tramp, a bum. Yes, I've read both of those books, but I ought to read them again!

How bad a theft is it though, if it's from someone who left the firm and abandoned her small change?
