Re: possibly boring live 10/20
Yeah, your PE is high but you won't get a free card and you only have 3 people in now. If everyone was in a cap would be really good in my opinion, as it stands I think it's close but I'd rather just call.

oh yeah, i would bet the flop. [/ QUOTE ] Why bet this flop with the preflop raiser on our left? Aren't we happy to let him bet to get in the C/R? Or do you want to protect your pair in this big pot hoping CO will raise you and the rest of the field will be facing two cold? |

[/ QUOTE ] This is a hand that often will check through if the pre-flop raiser has overcards. If the PFR'er will always put in a continuation bet, and you expect the hand to be multi-way based on the way the table has been playing then a check/raise is fine. I'd assume James is correct in this situation. |

Re: possibly boring live 10/20
[ QUOTE ]
i might cap the flop. it often helps decisions later in the hand since you've shown so much strength. [/ QUOTE ] I thought this as well but then I decided OOP I'd rather preserve the ability to c/r on later streets. Then I thought about it some more and realized that most cards that helps us are obviously scare cards so now I'm hedging to not being sure. If Villain isn't passive enough to check the turn just because it's a spade then I think I like call and c/r better. Can you explain which decisions later in the hand are helped by your flop cap? Surely we're not betting the turn 3handed UI are we? If we check that seems to make it obvious that we have a draw, helping them more than us. |
