Re: 2 royal flushes in same hand, who wins?
No poker book I have ever read nor any set of rules mention suits as a factor in the ranking of a poker hand.
I have, however, heard and experienced claims for a large variety of supposed rules pulled right from the rectum to try and win a pot. They are usually called "local rules" and considering where they come from, thay're a little too local for me. |

Whichever guy doesn't put a gun in his mouth because he has to chop a pot with the only royal flush he'll ever see.

Re: 2 royal flushes in same hand, who wins?
Suits have no rank in poker for the purpose of determining the winning hand.
Suits do have rank in poker in the following situations: 1) determing the bring-in in stud games 2) dealing for the button 3) racing off low-denomination chips in tournaments. |

As far as the ranking of suits go - it's alphabetical order - from lowest to highest: clubs, diamonds, hearts, spades.
Kurn gave the info about when suits matter in poker. In bridge, on the other hand, suits are of the utmost importance - it's a huge, huge part of the game. |

I was simply pointing out that there ARE card games where rank of suits are a huge part of the game (unlike poker) - bridge being an example of such a card game. |
