actually he plays 3/6, he was interviewed and that's what he said. he plays that low to keep it fun. of course the problem is that the biggest idiots are at the small tables.

[/ QUOTE ]

Years ago, when Gates was in Vegas, he would play 3-6 limit at the Mirage.

I believe the actual reason to play the smallest game in the room was to avoid any perception of gambling with MicroSoft's money. Even high stakes games wouldn't be much bigger for Gates.

[/ QUOTE ]

He could lose 10BB/100 in the big game everyday for 10hrs a day, and not be busto by the time he dies, and would lose maybe 5% of his money

I heard during lunch hours on friday they run a casual game in the break room of the East end of the Microsoft Reaserch and Developement Center, on the west side of the Microsoft Grounds.

seriously.

It would make virtually no difference in his bottom line if he played 1/2 NL or 1000/2000 NL at the end of the day.

He would be unstoppable at high stakes NL. He could just go all-in every hand and just scare everybody away and steal the blinds since the money doesn't mean anything to him!

Hugely +EV for any pro to play in if he did that.

Reason he doesn't play the big game is because 3/6 is the same as 3000/6000 to him, the stakes are both meaningless. He has more fun at 3/6 (skill level, 'common people') so plays there.

Wrong. You realize if they call an all in it would be for all their chips? We are not talking about a little .50-1 game, we are talking about going all in for 60k
