YES - it's just 180. How many times do you have to be ahead, like 1 in 5? He could easily have a lower PP or an 8, which you are totally priced in to call down.

River Ax i check he bets 180. Do we call again? [/ QUOTE ] Yuck. Against a reasonable opponent, they never have an A here. So, when they bet it is either a bluff or a monster. I don't give people credit for quads, so I certainly think he's bluffing often enough to call. But, he sounds like the type that can show up with an A here too But, getting like 10-1 odds I can't fold here. |

Re: ($60) Oh noes, you sunk my battleship!11!
He'd have to *really* sucky at that point for you to have him beat (cause you were hoping he just had Ace high when you called the turn bet). How sucky is he? I'm very likely folding.

Ryan [/ QUOTE ] he might be the worse player i've played with at the 60s. Sharkscope has him stuck 2k over 777 sngs but no idea what limits since i was too lazy to click and see. I dunno, just seems like if i wasn't already ahead he just sucked out with an ace, i'd obv be much happier with a 2 river and find he is value betting KKK55 or sth |

Ryan [/ QUOTE ] Why can't 22-77 or something suited (or not) with an 8 be in his range here? Has to be enough times to call 2 small bets. You just can't put him on quads, and no one bets a bare ace like that. Anyone who would make a bet like that on the turn is obviously a terrible player, and I'm really reluctant to put terrible players who don't know how to bet on hands. |

I probably call down. I also checkraise the flop probably.

I probably call down. I also checkraise the flop probably. [/ QUOTE ] i sometimes lead, sometimes CR. These opponents seemed the type who'd just keep calling down when it went bet/bet/bet with 66 since who'd lead with a king, but if i checkraise they might just fold their midpairs. |

Re: ($60) Oh noes, you sunk my battleship!11!
check call , check call and hope for the best. Don't fold no matter what. I think going for extra value on the river or turn is a bit risky but not completely terrible if he's really 100% VPIP. It could be you think he's 100% to put all his money in with any pair from 22-77 or many ace high hands, I dunno just how bad he was though.

Checking the flop is way better than betting imo with stacks this shallow.
