Re: Ask me about the Caribbean
What Island/Country you live in?
How Old are you. How Expensive is it compared to L.A What spesifically do you do in respect to real estate. What kind of a Visa do you have, is it hard to live there and work if you are U.S citizan. What do you hate most so far. Overall, is the real estate market suppose dto be booming there? Or has it peaked? How is it? Finally: around where you live, how much would it cost for me to buy a decent house, in a non-slum neighborhood, with 2 beds 2 baths 1-2 miles away from beach (max). |

Re: Ask me about the Caribbean
i live on the North Coast of the Dominican between the towns Puerto Plata and Sosua, right by beautiful mount Isabel.
i am 20 it's a lil more expensive, but not with everything. i try to sell properties to americans and rich russians. i will write more once i actually do some work other than setting up websites and stuff No need for a visa, just US passport you can buy property and live and work no problem. i hate not being able to smoke weed due to draconian laws. fortuantely jamaica is not too far it is defintiely booming, the peak is not yet in sight. you can buy a house anywhere from 150K all the way up. 2 beds - mmmmmmm maybe 300k for a nice one? ill get exact info once you tell me more. rkd. keep em coming, im enjoying it more than you are. |

Re: Ask me about the Caribbean
wow, that is very impressive for 20. How did you get to this situation? I am going to be 21, and basically have done nothing w/ my life. The fact that you are living in the Caribbean, working in RE is awesome!
I too, would like to live somewhere away from America (just to experience life). Caribbean islands, as well as Pacific Islands come to mind. Furthermore, I really want to work w/ real estate in the future (like a career). So my question is (sorry if it steers away from original subject): how did you get into real estate? I am working on a bachelors degree in finance, or business, or human resources atm, btw. |

Re: Ask me about the Caribbean
My dad owns a park called Fun City, it is a go cart thing. it is not successful by any means. His business partner is in real estate also, has live here for 25 years, and needed a young energetic person who speaks russian, english and spanish to come work with him. i don't like america, so i said yes.
basically got lucky. what school? |

Re: Ask me about the Caribbean
I'm impressed that you're 21 and for some reason know and think enough of John Voight to name yourself after him.

Re: Ask me about the Caribbean
I go to San Jose State (in California). I speak Russian too.
John Voight was great in some movies I watched. Specifically Deliverance, and Midnight Cowboy. Also, I think I may have watched the Seinfeld episode the night before I joined 2+2, b/c I rarely think about John Voight, and by no means am a hardcore fan of his. /permanently end hijack. |
