Although he is a fictional character, I've always liked the guy in major league that threw at his son in the father/son game.

Kyle Farnsworth.

He charged the plate and speared a guy.

I've seen Olsen pitch a couple of times, and I personally enjoy when he starts yelling at his fielders after they make an error. He and Miguel Cabrera have almost come to blows a couple of times. The fact that he can yell at far and away the best player on his team and face no repercussions, other than a mild scolding from Joe Girardi, attests to his awesomeness.

I can't find a video, but I remember the batter taking a step or two towards the mound, and Kyle charging the rest of the way.

I agree here 100%, something about his lunacy makes him pretty damn cool

I'm surprised I can't find a video either. The batter was pitcher Paul Wilson who was trying to bunt. Farnsworth threw an inside pitch that missed Wilson. Wilson started barking and threw his bat down. Farnsworth charged him landing a textbook tackle followed by a few right hands. Wilson probably should've just stayed in the batter's box.

Having to choose between taking a then-Farnsworth fastball in the chest/neck (probably 98-101 mph) or him hitting me the Goldberg spear while I try to fight him off, I gotta be honest, it would be a tough choice.
