What PS2 game should I play next?

Top 3 of the RE series imo are RE 4, RE 2, and RE code veronica in that order, but a lot of people i know think code veronica > 2. Either way though yes it is good and you cant go wrong with that or DMC.

You forgot the remake of 1, that's definitely the best of the "traditional" style ones IMO.

As for Code Veronica being good or not...most people got sucked in by RE1, and those same people will still be craving more by the time they get around to Code Veronica. That world just draws you in. Similar to the GTA series maybe - gameplay on its own merits not so good, but the environments and some surprises make it great.

I don't know how I'd rank the games, but I have a special place in my heart for the PS1 ones.

I'm not sure if you are talking about Director's Cut or a remake that I haven't played. Either way I think it's difficult to put 1 ahead of 2. 2 is one of the few sequels that overtook the original and revolutionized the series. For that reason I could even put it ahead of 4, but I figured nah since I think 4 has been the most fun to date by a decent margin.

Guitar Hero II

I've been playing that A LOT on my 360. It's awesome.

I also have a PS2 and I've been considering buying the following games (I probably won't though, because I don't have enough time to play them):
FF XII
Okami
Shadow of the Colossus
Dragon Quest 8

Deus Ex:TC for PS2 is a great game if you can find it. But GoW 1 and 2 are probably the best PS2 games in a while.

Onimusha will take about 15 hrs to beat, and I really liked it.

It's funny because your list of unifinished games you own is VERY similar to my list. Probably better to get a new game.
