Worst advice ever.
The reason you don't limp KJ is because it's easily dominated by popular hands (AK, AJ, KQ, and AA/KK/JJ), not because you "look at how many flops" get you into trouble.

Don't play AA preflop! Look at how many flops you get into trouble against JTs:
J T T
A K Q
T T 2
J J 5
Q 9 8
etc...
