So you read the replies from the pooh-bahs that you respect. There are many to pick from, and maybe you got lucky and several of your favorite posters posted thier advice. You read thier advice and you think to yourself, "yeah, he's right. That's the right way to play that hand." You then move on to the next hand.

i do this.
i resolve not to.

often i don't like to respond to threads at all unless i am one of the first few to reply, i don't recognize the initial posters, or i see a glaring error in a response.

i'll try to avoid that as well...

This is a great idea.

I actually started doing this this week (what a coincidence!).

I have been cruising this forum since Janurary, registered an ID last month, and decided the same thing that you are suggesting.

Typically after reading a hand post and the replies I would agree with someone's take and see no reason to post. So this week I decided to post to interesting hands without reading replys first. Only done 5 or 6 so far (not up to 5 a day yet ) but can already tell that it is much more useful this way.

Just today I was writing a reply that took about 10 minutes to craft when reveiwing it I realized that my advice was not correct. I ended up changing my line and ended up posting a much better response.

Actually I have been doing something more like this: first read the post with the hand, then realize what would be my play in all streets, and only after this take a look at the different replies. I dont feel like posting without seeing other stuff because I dont want to give a reply that is almost same as others, or I fear giving bad advice..

[/ QUOTE ]

Me too. I do try to reply on some of the threads that have not gotten many responses. I don't see a reason to pile on when the thread is plenty long already.

I like this idea, but haven't we had enough PSA over the past 2weeks?

I disagree. Things seem to be changing for the better lately. Let's hope it continues.

I think I will try this. I must agree that is exactly what I do. I figured reading the posts by the known posters, and the ones I know are good players would be enough. I do this every day, and I post about once or twice a week.
So, I will take this challenge and let you know how it turns out.
Good post btw.
