I think for me to truly value any suggestions, I need to see examples of bad-ass uniforms and cheerleaders.

Damn, well my well thought out post means nothing now.
Hmm, I am less aware of those two things than the other stuff.
I saw a dancer at a Celtics game who's body looked like a 12 year old's FWIW.

Do you want a team to follow for the next 5+ years or just something to root for right now?

[/ QUOTE ]

Clark,

I'm in it for the long term.

I think Portland could be a lot of fun. They have some back history, a young team, and a passionate fan base as it's the only game in town.

Milwaukee is also interesting with a lot of good young players and a great opportunity to compete for a title in a few years if they get a real coach.

The Bulls are a team with international cache and they figure to be a contender for a while with all their youth.

The Spurs kind of kick ass.

The Lakers have Kobe and one has to think they eventually get him some help.

ads,

based on your life story, you seem like a relatively lucky guy. So pick the Celtics. We're in a lot of pain right now. Help turn things around.

Phoenix Suns FTW. They are the most fun team to watch, they have some of the hottest cheerleaders, and they should be good for years to come. Bonus points for Italian legend Mike D'Antoni being the Suns coach.

Will my Italian friends make fun of me because we lose all the time?

The lakers are evil so I'd avoid them. The bulls and celtics have won too many titles already (and the celtics are whiny). The suns have nash and he's fun to watch, the blazers are awesome of course. The jazz could be fun too, they should be in the mix for a bit.

These two sound good. I like the idea of my friends making fun of me for a few years and then I nail them with a championship win.

[/ QUOTE ]Agreed. Celtics won't be good for several (maybe 5) years. There entire team, coaching staff, and front office are a mess. Sorry Boston fans.
