Got mine yesterday and I'm now midway through reading chapter 3. Lots of good stuff. I haven't seen anything yet that is a totally new concept, but everything so far has helped significantly improve and refine my understanding of the concepts presented.

Ok, gentlemen, I just ordered based on your positive comments. I haven't found any tourney books worth reading other than HOH and Snyder, so I hope this is actually good. Thanks.

Some might argue TPFAP also. However I agree you, I've got more out of HOH and Snyder than everything else combined. On first blush the FT Guide will be joining this list.

Good to know - it seems we think alike, so I look forward to getting this books, given your high opinion of it. I was initially reluctant to order it because I feared it was a FT infomercial, like Doyle's online book.

I am through the How "Not" to play like Ted Forrest chapter. I like the different styles the different pros take. Again nothing earth shattering but definately worth a pick up. I could hear Duran Duran's Hungry Like the Wolf playing in the background while reading Forrests chapter.(BarryGreenstein.com) Every time I see him mentioned I laugh thinking of Barry's description.

The Howard Lederer chapter is the definitive work on "shortball" poker. "Leverage" is definitely what shortball is all about.

But my favorite chapter is Ted Forrest's "Don't learn to play like Ted Forrest". Awesome!
