Re: TT flops a set. Getting Creative. ($100)
[ QUOTE ]
umm your flop bet sucks don't bet pot with these stacks. [/ QUOTE ] What ace raises UTG or calls an UTG raise that is not calling (or shoving over) my pot sized bet on this flop? The main purpose of my PSB was to make sure that I get AK/AQ pot committed. Anything else that he calls with is a bluffing hand, bluff catcher, or a draw so I don't have a problem with my pot sized bet against that range either. If anyone else doesn't like the flop (or obv any other part of the hand) bet please chime in as it certaintly was not a clear decision. |

Re: TT flops a set. Getting Creative. ($100)
Just bet 2/3 on flop or whatever you would normally c-bet.
UTG+1 range is pretty small on turn, Ax, KQs, JQs, KJs... Either way, if he called a pot sized bet on the flop with these hands, he isn't folding to a bet on the turn. Alot of his range will check/fold on the river if he doesn't hit, and we should be looking to get two more streets of value out of Ax (he isnt folding AK or AQ) I think this is a trivially easy turn bet. Curtains nailed it already IMO. |

Re: TT flops a set. Getting Creative. ($100)
Count me in as a proponent of the turn bet. What part of his range is raising UTG, getting 2 callers, and then check/calling a PSB on the flop on an A-high coordinated board? I really have trouble thinking of a scenario where he check/folds the turn. What's more, while he occasionally does fire as a bluff on the river, he also check/folds a ton with busted flush draws whereas he probably calls all your bets on the turn. We're not deep enough for pot control tactics like this and our only prerogative should be to get the most money in with a dominant hand.
The thing is, this is the aboslute perfect flop for you. When I call an EP raise in position with a mid-PP, I'm pretty much begging to hit an A-high flop and my set at the same time. Bet 2/3 on the flop. Not sure what the PSB accomplishes. You have a lot better chance getting money in the pot with a simply 2/3 pot bet on flop, 1/2-2/3 pot bet on turn and shove on river. |

Re: TT flops a set. Getting Creative. ($100)
Why are you show playing on an ace high board with 2 2-flushes?
Also, you were not the preflop raiser and you bet big on the flop, so it looks like you hit the flop pretty strong. |
