Hold on, my comment was based on the fact that we're up against two (= no all-in player). HU, things become different because that turn bet shows an immediate profit if he just folds 20% of the time. However, assuming both villains each individually fold 20% of the time means that we'll actually only get a fold .2*.2 = 4% of the time.

Fretelloos explanation that you are unlikely to have much fold equity against 2 players who called your flop 3-bet makes sense. There is also the possibility that one of your opponents might have a higher flush draw than yours. But even if you did have 12 full outs, it would not be enough to be able to bet the turn for value, without decent fold equity. Edit: Sorry, I posted while you were responding. |
