I had an situation almost exactly like this last night, except it was HU on the flop and I had JJ. I folded. You should, too.

Yeah, and the point is that I don't mind paying 1:3 to see that, but I really don't want to pay 1:2.

This is one of those fun hands where if you call down he's got a weak ace or king, if you raise or fold he's got one of the rest of his admittedly gigantic range. It's no-win for you, a good play by your opponent.

?? It's a terrible play by villian that saves us $; easy fold.

Unless it induces you to fold the best hand.

Yeah, this was my dilema, was he doing this with random garbage as fret suggests? I opted to fold anyway, the very next round we go again:

first hand - fold flop.

second hand - call flop. fold turn UI.

standard hands. note that he MAY donk flops a lot and keep an eye on him. eventually you'll get to showdown against one of his donks. everything will be okay. usually they are saving you bets by not check raising instead of donking. thank them for being retarded.

I raise the first flop ... a donk is bs so much.

He is never 3betting a worse hand.
He is never donking turn with a worse hand.
If I check behind turn he might bet the river with a worse hand, but even if he does it with a better hand we only loose 2BB compared to the 2.5BB we loose when calling down.

If villain is passive it's a fold imho

Are you serious? You better have the greatest read of all time to pull this off...

Definately not worth it in my book. Easy laydown.

*Quick Reply* aka *Grunch*
I fold.
What most people dont know is that there are much more Ax combos than - for instance - Jx combos.
Anyway, there is about a 28.5% chance that your opponent - with a random hand - holds an A or a K.
So, I dont think you have the odds to call down.
