Re: Cramming tips (This has probs come up before)
2 weeks is easily enough time, don't work all night though try waking up at 8ish and working 9-12 with 5 minute breaks at the end of each hour. Then 2-5 same format and then 7-10 before an hour of downtime and asleep by 12. This way you can do 3 subjects a day.
I'm a UK student at uni by the way so I've been there before and my exams are in a week so don't worry. History: If you have notes, spend about 6 hours learning them thoroughly and you should be fine as long as you can write a half decent essay. Geography: At uni it's a piece of piss so I presume you'll have no problem provided you go through everything. Sciences: These really require a lot of learning so you may be a little screwed, just learn the main parts and look at how the mark scheme works especially for data handling. Maths: 18yo level means it doesn't matter, ignore it and retake at 18. No one likes a cokcy git who takes it 2 years early, even then that means you're good at maths so it'll be easy. For A-Level I never did more than 4 hours work for each exam and got an A. English Lit: Is this a joke? This exam is all on ability to write essays and not on anything you need to learn. Read the book/poems and look at some essay writing tips. 2-3 hours tops. Hope that helps |

Re: Cramming tips (This has probs come up before)
Uhhh, avoid the drugs and just study a couple hours a night over the next two weeks. If you don't have the motivation, I guess you can just cram the night before for each of them.

Re: Cramming tips (This has probs come up before)
No, college isn't the hard.
I just approach it like an optimization of time problem. If 3 hours of focused study are the same as say 9 of sober, then (at least from this perspective) it's a no brainer. Nobody likes copying notes or reading through a drab textbook, so why not minimize the pain? |

[ QUOTE ] I really can't believe how many students are taking drugs to help them study. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] QFT I normally cram the day of the exam or the night before instead of overnight. I retain more information when I'm focused and aware than when I'm practically falling asleep on my books. I never took any drugs to keep me awake for studying when I did stay up late. I have used those SoBe type drinks on rare occasions, but they rarely help. I just stayed awake naturally. When I was doing so, I set two alarm clocks to go off before the exam in case I fall asleep while studying. The best cramming tip is to not cram. |
