In Stox we trust! Well he says K3o but whatever.

I usually defend K5o+. There can't be much difference.

i doubt it, but im only going on intuition. position plays such a huge part here. if the guy opens 50% and is not a horrible player i don't see how he's not going to make up for the slight equity disadvantage by abusing having position on you. maybe stox can do it at big games where rake is almost a nonfactor, but i cant believe that just a normal 10/20 winner can make k2o +ev there against anyone but a horrible player. sorry for the hijack. would be cool to see a large number of trials for Kxo and Qxo hands in bb defense scenarios where x <= 5 or 6.

edit: as far as the subject hand i agree 100% with victor's post below and i like the title because this seems like a simple decision. i think Ax finds a check a lot here if you check to him, and Kx definitely does.

checking is kinda bad here. even if he is a spazztard he is still likely smart enough to realize your check is with the intention of calling a bet so he will mostly bet hands you beat. you proly collect bets from kt and qt but he proly checks the rest that we are ahead of.

i think betting is better to induce a bluff and you get plenty of value as bryces post indicates.
